Regional Support for Binsbacher Continues to Grow

Three more Mayors endorse Bridget Binsbacher for Peoria Mayor adding their voices to the rising chorus of regional support



PEORIA (June 28, 2022) – Three more Mayors announced their support for Bridget Binsbacher today, increasing the number of current and former local elected officials backing her bid to more than a dozen. Binsbacher has been a strong voice for regional cooperation and encouraging communities to work together to strengthen Arizona’s long-term success. Her experience and commitment to being strong working relationships has earned her support from across the region. Endorsements include:

  • Gilbert Mayor Brigette Peterson

  • Maricopa Mayor Christian Price


Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke stated, “I am proud to endorse Bridget Binsbacher for Peoria Mayor. We both share a firm commitment to great jobs, great schools, and safe communities. I have worked with her on the Transportation Policy Committee and have witnessed her unyielding commitment to state and regional cooperation. She is the best candidate to keep Peoria safe and family friendly. I am proud to give her my support.”

Christian Price, Mayor of Maricopa stated, “As the former President of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns, I have been able to see firsthand the success our communities can have when they can work together to strengthen our state and grow our economy. Bridget Binsbacher understands this and has a proven track record of collaboration that benefits not only Peoria, but the entire region and state. I strongly believe that good working relationships are critically important to regional cooperation and directly influence the quality of life of our citizens through an enhanced economic development climate. Bridget Binsbacher is committed to building strong relationships and I am proud to give her my support.”

Binsbacher is the only candidate with experience working with elected officials on critical regional topics such as water, transportation, and education. Her work on the Arizona Municipal Water Users Association and commitment to protecting Peoria’s water future helped earn her the endorsement of West and Southeast REALTORS® of the Valley's (WeSERV). In addition, she is backed by leaders of Avondale, Buckeye, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Tolleson, Wickenburg, and Youngtown as well as the current and two previous mayors of Peoria.

About Bridget Binsbacher

Bridget Binsbacher has lived in the Northwest Valley for more than three decades dedicating her time to public and community service. Bridget was elected to serve on the Peoria City Council in March of 2015 and re-elected in 2016 and 2020. As an elected official, she has served two terms as Vice Mayor and has fought hard for fiscal responsibility, accountability, balanced budgets, and no tax increases. As required by law, Binsbacher resigned from the Peoria City Council to run for Mayor.

Bridget Binsbacher has been recognized as a respected leader in both the public sector and professionally. She serves as the Executive Director of the Arizona Cactus League Baseball Association supporting Spring Training, which is one of Arizona and Peoria’s largest economic drivers. Bridget has been recognized as 2021 AzBusiness Leaders – Top Five Tourism Leaders of Arizona, 2019 AzBusiness Leaders – Most Influential Women in Arizona, and 2016 Arizona Who’s Who – Top Five Women in Business Leaders of Arizona. She is also a Paul Harris Fellow recipient and a West Valley 24 Mover and Shaker.
