PEORIA (July 4, 2022) – Veterans from throughout Peoria and the West Valley have joined together in a coalition of support for Bridget Binsbacher’s bid for Mayor of Peoria. The group, calling themselves Veterans for Bridget, has organized numerous veterans from all branches of the United States armed forces to express enthusiasm and endorsement of the former city council member’s campaign.
The coalition issued the following statement of support of Binsbacher:
“Bridget Binsbacher is a champion for our armed forces and our veterans. She comes from a family of deeply committed public servants and understands what it means to sacrifice to serve others and keep our country safe. During her time on the council, she has been a strong voice on veterans issues and has worked closely with community veterans groups and others to support efforts such as the Peoria Veterans Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Trail, Protecting Luke Air Force Base, Scouts, and much more. We are proud to support Bridget Binsbacher. She is a great American and a powerful voice for all of the men and women who have served our country.”

Binsbacher concluded, “Military and public service is incredibly important to me many of my family members have served in the armed forces. The veterans in Peoria continue to serve the public through their hard work and community service and having their support makes me incredibly proud and humbled.”
About Bridget Binsbacher
Bridget Binsbacher has lived in the Northwest Valley for more than three decades dedicating her time to public and community service. Bridget was elected to serve on the Peoria City Council in March of 2015 and re-elected in 2016 and 2020. As an elected official, she has served two terms as Vice Mayor and has fought hard for fiscal responsibility, accountability, balanced budgets, and no tax increases. As required by law, Binsbacher resigned from the Peoria City Council to run for Mayor.
Bridget Binsbacher has been recognized as a respected leader in both the public sector and professionally. She serves as the Executive Director of the Arizona Cactus League Baseball Association supporting Spring Training, which is one of Arizona and Peoria’s largest economic drivers. Bridget has been recognized as 2021 AzBusiness Leaders – Top Five Tourism Leaders of Arizona, 2019 AzBusiness Leaders – Most Influential Women in Arizona, and 2016 Arizona Who’s Who – Top Five Women in Business Leaders of Arizona. She is also a Paul Harris Fellow recipient and a West Valley 24 Mover and Shaker.
